We use the prepositions “in”, “at” and “on” to refer to places:

In is Used for enclosed spaces or areas.

  • Example: “The documents are in the folder.”

At is used for specific locations or points.

  • Example: “I am waiting at the bus stop.”

On is used for surfaces or when something is placed atop something else.

  • Example: “The cat is sleeping on the bed.”
