Grammar: Simple Present Affirmative 04

Published on August 31, 2024

When we make sentences in English, we have to make a special consideration with these three personal pronouns or subjects.

Personal PronounSubject
HeRyan
SheLiza
ItThe cat

Let’s continue with the second two grammar rules:

Verbs Ending in a Consonant + y: Change the -y to -ies.

  • Example:
    • “He flies.”
    • “She studies.”

Verbs Ending in a Vowel + y: Just add -s.

  • Example:
    • “He plays.”
    • “She enjoys.”
