“And” is used to connect similar ideas or actions.
- Example: “She reads books and writes in her journal.”
“But” is used to show contrast or an exception between two ideas.
- Example: “He likes coffee but she prefers tea.”
“Because” is used to explain the reason or cause for something.
- Example: “They study hard because they want to pass their class.”
